Who We Are
Strengthening Thai-Austrian Relations Through Culture and Collaboration.
In 2015 the Thai-Austrian Society, which was established in 1985, celebrated its 30th anniversary. In 2016 a new board was elected.
The Thai Austrian Society aims to preserve a piece of home for the Austrians residing in Thailand and to provide our Thai friends with the opportunity to maintain their connection to Austria.
Most of all it serves as a meeting platform for all friends of Austria, where the Austrian Embassy will be represented on a regular basis as well.

To foster a vibrant and inclusive community that strengthens the cultural and social ties between Thailand and Austria, serving as a bridge for mutual understanding and collaboration.
Mission
Cultural Exchange: Promote the rich cultural heritage of Thailand and Austria through events, and educational opportunities that inspire cross-cultural appreciation.
Community Engagement: Build a supportive network for Thai and Austrian individuals and families in Bangkok, creating opportunities for social connections, learning, and growth.

Objectives
To maintain and promote cultural, scientific, educational and economic relations between Thai- and Austrian Citizens living in Thailand.
The mediation of the understanding of Austrian culture by the Thais and the understanding of Thai culture by the Austrians.
The maintenance of a social network to support Austrians in settling in Thailand, to help them integrating in Thailand at an early stage.
To provide a platform for intercultural relationships, exchanging experiences and giving support.

Our society is built on the foundation of friendship, mutual respect, and cultural exchange between Thailand and Austria. For 40 years, the Thai-Austrian Society has been dedicated to building bridges between our two nations—encouraging dialogue, deepening mutual understanding, and celebrating the vibrant heritage and accomplishments of both countries. At first glance, Austria and Thailand may appear worlds apart—each with its distinct language, culture, and traditions.
But upon closer reflection, we find unexpected parallels and shared values.
